The stressed arch frames is a new style large-span steel structure.The structure adopted the stress-erection technology and prestressed technology , which bring many excellent characteristic to the structure. These technologys not only solved the problem of working high above the grount bringing large advantage to the structure construction , but also made the structure have advantages of steel saving,little deflection and small horizontal thrust and so on. The stressed-arch frames is a new style of structure with large practicality value.Although the stressed arch frames has been widely used in the buildings overseas, at home the lag of study on it obstruct the development and application of the structure. The job of this paper is sourced from the organization-raised funds project of cabr,the study on theory and panel jiont constuction of stressed arch frames, participating in partial job of the project. The job of this paper include the model test of stressed arch frames and the investigation on the stress distribution and the behaviour during the erection of the structure based on the test. In this paper, we calculate and analyse the test model in theory by computer program,and through the comparison between the test result and the theoretically calculated result,we gave some suggestions for design and constrction of stressed arch frames.Using for reference of the advantage of the strarch and cylindricalshell structure, we excogitate a new style large-span steel structure------the stressed cylindrical structure. Through the comparison and analysis between stressed-cylindrical structure and conventional barrel shell,we testified the advantages of this new style structure. The stressed cylindrical structure can be applied to the connstruction of the large-scale storehouse.
