Besides the extensive damage brought by the fire, the effect on the buildings is also extraordinary severe. Wherefore, we have to know the variation of the buildings' bearing capacity, and the effect of the high temperature upon the structures' reliability. This job can provides the theory foundation for the constructional flame-resistant designs, on the other hand, it can provide the necessary data and theory direction for the test and reinforcement of the buildings suffered fire.At present, the research departments have gotten a series of research productions, by substantive experimental study and theoretical analysis.(1) The region simulation, the field simulation, and the experience simulation can be used to simulate the thermal field.(2) Based on principle of conservation of energy, the thermal field of concrete component can be gotten by the method of finite element.(3) By chemistry and physical analysis, we can know the effect of the high temperature upon reinforced concrete material property, coupled with the experimental study, the changing rules of concrete material property can be found from the macro and microscopic view.Based on the production, the paper summarizes the test methods using now, as, visual method, rebound method, supersonic method and auger core method etc., and analyses the relative merits and the applicability. The paper studies the variation of the concrete components' bearing capacity, and the design formula of members' remain bearing capacity. Furthermore, the paper introduces the reinforcement means for the concrete structures, and discusses the means on the theoretical calculation and construction requirement.The paper applies the theoretical investigation product into the engineering example. The paper tests the structure using many methods, simulates the thermal fields' distribution, development, and evolution, using the program of ANSYS, and calculates the members' remain bearing capacity. At last, the paper gives the expert conclusion and reinforcement means for the structure.
