| Ultrasonics is one of the most important techniques for nondestructive testing (NDT) and applied very widely. A type of digital ultrasonic defectoscopes have been presented to home market in late years, but more or less, their sampling frequency is relatively low, the system is not open enough, and hard to further analyze and process the signal. For these instruments, it is difficult to meet various measuring requests. So, it's essential to develop a digital ultrasonic NDT system with high sampling frequency and open structure.On the purpose of these, a digital system for ultrasonic NDT based on PC is developed. It sampling frequency can reach to 100MHz. Using high frequency technology, the signal coming from ultrasonic sensor is transferred to the PC through PCI Bus after being filtered, amplifiered, high-speed A/D converted and buffered. It is realized to dump and transfer the large capacity real-time data of ultrasonic signal. Its software adopts Windows programming technology, the structure and function library are totally open. It can be developed on the secondary conveniently in order to meet the changeable request for NDT and especially for data processing.A prototype system has already been developed successfully. The main performance reached the design request. This system is expected to be used in the field testing and scientific research. It is especially suitable for the situation to analyze and process data furtherly. |
