With the development of high-velocity of patrol boat and flexibility of boat, coupling effect between boat and waves will cause significant amplification of the human body-seat-boat-water system vibration. At the same time, the passive vibration control is not satisfied and it has become a tendency to reduce vibration through active control. In this paper, we simplify the coupling system as the kind system of sine waves, an elastic beam floating on the sea surface and a sprung mass with 2 degrees of freedom and analyze dynamic response of the system. Based on acceleration, velocity or displacement minimization principal, find optimal control gains for this complex coupled fluid-structure interaction system. An active control strategy based on classical linear optimal control theory is provided, feasibility and effectiveness of which are studied. Source programs in MATLAB are coded and operated on the computer to demonstrate control results. Compare optimal control results with passive seat control(isolation) system and compare acceleration based optimal control approach with other control method. Influence of the control parameters variances on the system are analyzed in detail. This study has an important value on coupling analysis theory and active-passive vibration control of the human body-seat-boat-water systems.
