It is the real time-processing properties of microcontroller, such as the TMS320F240 DSP controller, the development of Stepping Motor manufacturing and all kinds of advanced theories that have resulted in the development of a highly reliable drive with high stepping accuracy and high-power.The relation between hybrid stepping motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor is further analyzed after the presentation of pulse subdivision in this paper. Hybrid stepping motor is similar to permanent magnet synchronous motor in functional principle and it can be considered a permanent magnet synchronous motor in stepping. The advanced control methods widely applied such as Field Oriented Control (FOC) in synchronous motor can also be used in stepping motor. The pulse subdivision and rotor locking can be realized by space vector's revolving and holding. New control method is obtained from Control at aspect of synchronous motor instead of control of phase currency.A three-phase hybrid stepping motor pulse subdivision driver system based on TMS320LF2407 DSP is designed based on the theory in this paper. System architecture and the design of hardware and software are presented in detail. The control method is testified by experimentation.
