In this thesis, a set of precise lubricating system for chain transmission device developed by a foreign company is researched. This system is designed ingeniously, so it works simply and reliably. it can economize greatly the lubricating oil in the case of excellent lubricating effect. It has already been applied to the motorcycle produced by this company at present. So it is very important to do the research of structure optimization to this system for saving more lubricating oil by adopting the computer stimulation.The study of structure optimization to this system is processed by a perfect commercial Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) software package named as FLUENT. CFD is a new discipline and develops rapidly. It bases on theory hydrodynamics and computational mathematics, and studies the fluid dynamics problem by the simulation of the computer. The simulation result can be close to actual case.The method of study is: analyses the structure and principle of the system and founds a CFD simulation model, then does simulation and analysis with FLUENT. The simulation result with errors is revised by data fitting and inserting value with MATLAB. After finding out satisfied correcting formula for the simulation model and changing the model structure, some forecasts is done by simulation. The whole simulation course and result have reference function to the further research.The thesis introduces some basic situations of this chain lubricating system at first, then recommends the foundation knowledge of CFD and operation method of FLUENT and expatiates the course of modeling and simulation with FLUENT. Finally, it provides the structure optimum result of the lubricating system at present by changing the structure after analyzed the error reason and revised the stimulation result.
