In this paper, the working conditions of rudder in solid rocket motor are investigated detailedly. We computed fluid body around rudder, stress field in the rudder and volumetric ablation of rudder.The accurate geometrical model is established based on the actual working cases of rudder in one solid rocket motor, and the account model is simplified according working conditions of rudder. These things are computed respectively in the six working circumstance: characteristic parameters of three dimension fluid body around rudder and the three dimension temperature's distributing on the surface of rudder; all pressure and viscous force interior rudder caused by fluid body; heat stress and composition stress in the rudder; volumetric ablation of rudder.From study of this paper, such results can be summarizing: temperature and heat stress interior rudder are seriously affected by temperature in the surface of rudder. Moreover temperature's distributing, forces and fluid body's characteristic parameters on the surface and of rudder are greatly affected by fluid directions of fluid body, gauche angle of rudder and geometrical model of rudder. So it is more importance for rudder design to planning good geometrical model. On the other hand, mechanical stress caused by fluid body can be neglected compared to heat stress. The maximum heat stresses are appeared B region of rudder's root and the whole root's stresses ascend obviously. The high temperature regions and maximum temperature regions are appeared A,B,C and D regions. Observed from ablation results, B region and region between C region and D region can easily be ablated.
