The two teeth difference cycloid gearing now is widely applied in the low transmission ratio gearing because of its anti-gluing performance . For the sake of the non-continuity of the flank profile of cycloid gear in the two teeth difference , the complexity in manufacturing technology is resulted and the precision cannot be guaranteed . The document provides theory and method of the equivalent substitution on cycloid gear transmission in two teeth difference in accordance. With the above conditions , We carried out the trial study . A kind of practical product is selected and a model machine is made . The flank profile of the equivalent substitution is calculated based on the optimization design method about the model machine according to the previous cycloid gear in two teeth difference . The cycloid gear reducer in two difference which has the equivalent substitution gear profile.The comparative trial is engaged concerning temperature rise , noise , vibration and efficiency , etc. . of reducers made from cycloid gear with two different models on open-type testing stand . The force conditions of two types of cycloid gear are compared with each other . The trial research and the force analysis on the pin-cycloid gear in two teeth difference are finished based on the equivalent substitution method . We conclude that the cycloid gear in two teeth difference designed based on the equivalent substitution method is theoretically scientific and practically feasible . A way of making cycloid gear with two teeth difference is explored for the cycloid reducer manufactures in China.
