With the rapid development of economy of China , the shear-wall structures with angle window are widely used in high-rise buildings. There are no provisions for angle windows designing currently, and the shear-wall structures with angle window are usually designed by designers on their own experiences. To strengthen the angular section, the method of depositing a diagonal beam and thickening the local slab near the angular location is suggested and the result is admirable.Combined with a case, the shear-wall structure with angle window is analyzed by means of ANSYS under six conditions in this paper, which are with or without diagonal beam, thickening plank thickness or not and so on. The property of the whole shear-wall structure, the stress distribution and the displacement of angular points can be gained. The influence of adding seismic structural measures on whole structure and local component are also presented. The numerical results are valuable references for other designers. The exact work done was listed as follows:1. The shear-wall is modeled using the shell element and the beam and column are simulated with the provided element beam in ANSYS element library. A 22-story shell-wall building with angle window is established.2. Using spectra method, the structure is analyzed within the range of elastic response. The response of the whole structure is calculated under frequent earthquake motion, and the structure performance under the condition of adding seismic structural measures are compared too.3. The elastic time-history analysis of the model is carried out. The stress distribution and angular displacement of diagonal beam are presented respectively under three conditions of which being no seismic structural measures, only with concealed bean setting down and only thickening local plank.4. The influence of seismic measures, on whole structure and local component are summarized.
