The paper introduced the present research status and development direction of the infrared stealth technology. The numerical simulation against the infrared radiation characteristics of jet flow fielded done. The jet flow radiation computational method of axis-symmetry nozzle and rectangle nozzle are also discussed. The jet flow fields are gotten using differential method and temperature , velocity and concentration distribution of the jet plume is given. The radiance of jet plume in arbitrary light of sight are predicated using Curtis-Godson micro-spectrum approximation. The paper emphasised on researching IR radiation characteristic of the axis-symmetry nozzle and rectangle nozzle. The computational results indicated that under the same condition, the IR radiance from the rectangle jet is forty percent weaker than that from circular jet. It means that the rectangle jet can be used to restrain the IR radiance from jet.
