Lighting weight of Automobile radiator system, which is composed of water tank, evaporator of air conditioner, condenser of air conditioner, middle cooler, warm wind fan and engine oil cooler, is an important factor for lighting weight of complete assembly of automobile. And the key technology lies on the molding and manufacturing technology of multi-layer complex aluminum thin-walled tubes through high frequency welding, which is important for lighting weight of radiator.Copper is a kind of traditional material for radiators of automobile, locomotive and engineering mechanics. Normally, soldering technology is applied during the production of the assemblies of the radiators. Tubes produced by overlapping soldering will result in low intension, unstable welding quality and serious material waste. In this paper, multiplayer complex aluminum and copper alloy thin-walled tubes through high frequency welding were studied. Compared with the traditional soldering technology, high frequency welding technology is widespread because its high efficiency, high quality and low cost.In this paper, based on the mechanism of high frequency welding technology, we emphasized on discussing effects of the following factors on the welding quality: (1) high frequency welding "V'"-typed angle; (2) main welding technics parameters; (3) chemical and physical characteristics of welded material; (4) the shape and the fixing position of the high frequency induction coil. In addition, the rolling-pressed molding technology of multi-layer thin-walled nonferrous metals was studied according to the theory of the nonferrous metals belt-shaped rolling-pressed molding. Subsequently, the rolling-pressed molding patterns of multi-layer thin-walled belt-shaped material were invented, which was successfully applied to produce the multi-layer aluminum complex thin-walled tubes. The characteristics of the as-produced tubes reached the requirements of the worldwide same products.The purpose of this project is to study the producing technology of multi-layer complex aluminum and copper thin-walled tubes through high frequency welding.
