This paper improves the moistening constitutive model of collapsible loess using the secant modulus method on the basis of the moistening experimental results ofloess. The formula of K0 -w, c -w and - w are established. Aiming at the non-evenmoistening deformation of loessial foundation and slope of cut, the equivalent-displacement method calculating the moistening deformation and the stress-level method of evaluating the stability of slope are put forward.On the basis of the existing large-strain consolidation finite element analysis program (LSCFEA), by using the above theory, program to calculate moistening deformation is worked out and the large-strain description for wetted loess is realized. With this program, these phenomena of permeance at the toe of subgrade, at the foot of cut slope and at the top of cut slope, which is common at loess district, is analyzed, and the results before and behind permeance are compared.
