The basic information of DA(Distribution Automation) was introduced firstly in this article, then expound the sub-system of power distribution system — distribution transformer automation.Aimed at the demand of electric power company, we analyse the main function of TTU (Transformer Terminal Unit). After comparing, we adopt AC sampling and process data with DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and MCU(Micro Controll Unit).In the chapter that followed, we introduced the signal transforming, synchronous sampling, analog to digital in data acquisition. This part convert 3-phase current and voltage to voltage that can be sampled by A/D. With PLL(Phase Lock Loop), we can sample 64 points in a cycle synchronously.In the data processing part, we introduced the peripheral circuit design and chip configuration for TMS320VC5409 DSP. This part performs the computing function.In the controlling part, we introduced the real time clock, switch inputs and switch outputs, communication interface, human-machine interface, decoder, data storing, power monitoring circuit design. Finally, after debugging the circuit, author test the data sampling and processing part. With comparing to the results got from standard device, we are assured of the correctness of hardware and software design. At the end of this article, further works that will be done was proposed.
