In this paper, the countermeasure state of crumbling concrete obstacles and the basic theories of EFP warhead technology were briefly introduced firstly.Then, the research on impacting concrete targets by EFP was carried out, which included establishing a physical model, theoretical analysis, simulated test.Finally, a suitable EFP device was designed.The main research works have been done as follows:(1) By analyzing the concrete-destroying model in the impact of a high-velocity projectile, the base design of EFP was corroborated.(2) In order to analyze EFP main capabilities,a physical model was established.On the basis of which, the EFP-forming process with the spherical segment liner ,as well as with the wide angle conical liner was analyzed.As a result, the former was better than the latter in destroying the concrete target.(3) Model experiments were designed to test the EFP's primary capabilities and the effect of impacting concrete targets.(4) With the help of similarity theory, a simulation laws on the EFP's primary capabilities and the impacting effect were obtained.(5) Based on the simulation laws and the conclusion of model experiments, prototype experiments are designed and carried out.Which proved that the simulation law was tenable, and promised the better design of EFP.
