Based on laboratory study with direct shear test and compression test of the compacted loess, the influence of moisture content, dry density (equal to compact coefficient) and pressure on shearing strength and compression is discussed. Furthermore, the contributions of these factors and their reciprocal actions affecting strength and compression are ascertained by the way of orthogonal. With the aid of triaxial compression test, the shearing strength and strain-stress relationship characters of compacted loess is discussed. Finally, the stress distribution and deformation of several embankment of representative transverse is calculated by making use of some FEM program, thus the regularity is ascertained, and the results are listed in tables. The influence of the soil parameters on the calculation results is also put forward in the paper. |
