The heat transfer numerical simulation about whole internal combustion engine is a coupled computer simulation related to the flow, combustion, convective heat transfer of gas in cylinder; the heat conduction of components in combustion chamber and the flow heat release of circulating coolant. With the high development of computer and numerical simulation methods, the numerical simulation of heat transfer in whole internal combustion engine will be reality in the near future. The heat transfer simulation of sliding-contact component system (piston set and cylinder liner) has been the key objective of the whole heat transfer research. This paper explores deeply this research, put great emphases on developing heat transfer simulation computer program of sliding-contact component system .The following is the contents of this work:1.Supplement systematically the conception of heat transfer complete model simulation. Introduce the production and problem correlative with heat transfer complete model simulation. Then conducted an analysis of those problems for further research and thereby propose their solutions.2. Perfect the conception of coupled heat transfer of Sliding-contact Component System. After analyze the boundary conditions of the System one by one, 3D coupled heat transfer mathematical model is build up.3. On the basis of above mathematical models, the calculation program to simulate the coupled heat transfer for Sliding-contact Component System in combustion chamber has been successfully developed by combining the above conception with the finite element method of heat transfer. The program integrates with present pre-/post-processing software, which expand the available extension of the developed program and be more convenient to solve different geometry model and boundary conditions.4. The software mentioned above is employed to simulate the actual heat transfer process of a 6110 diesel engine. The results of simulation show a good agreement with available experimental measurements. It is future used to simulate dynamic thermal loading and virtual thermal malfunction. The simulation result can be reference to I C engine design and correlative heat transfer research.The software provides a new development environment for 3D numerical simulation of the Sliding-contact Component System. It's a basis for developing the perfect piston set-cylinder liner sliding-contact simulation computer software and making further research on heat transfer complete model simulation.In addition, face object finite element method, assumption of modular programming and pre-/post-processing technique is adopted in the software .All of them provide the reference for relative numerical simulation.
