| Globoidal indexing cam mechanism is widely used in automatic machine and automatic production lines. But its complex profiles and cumbersome design process prevents it from further development. In order to realize the automation of calculating, designing and analyzing of globoidal indexing cam, second development of Pro/ENGINEER is adopted in this paper, the parameter design and entity proplasm software are programmed. The paper studies the surface geometry of globoidal indexing cam by applying the theory of conjugate surfaces and the method of coordinate transformation, presents the equations related to the main inducement curvature of the cam profiles, analysis and deduces the equations of two circumscription curves, which judge if the conjugate surface could mesh properly. Some calculate examples and conclusion are given. The surface equation of the globoidal cam and conjugate equation are established. The paper also does some deep research on the mesh characteristic of the mechanism, analyses the cause of the cam profile error and index error during working, using Object-Oriented method, VC++ and Pro/TOOLKIT, performs second development to Pro/ENGINEER, completes entity proplasm of the cam mechanism using only few parameters, the press angle calculate module, error analysis module and curvature calculate module are built on the basis of it. And meanwhile the movement of the mechanism is simulated using the Pro/Mechanism module of Pro/ENGINEER. In this paper, studies on the characteristic of the cam dynamics system and vibration model of the system are done, which provides a foundation for the further researches. In a word, the paper provides an visible software operation platform for the analysis and design of globoidal indexing cam, builds primary model of the mechanism dynamics system, then provides references for the mechanism's deep research. |
