| An optimization design method for composite structures is presented in this paper. Two steps are taken in the process of composite structure optimization. First the ply orientation angle of the structure is optimized; second the ply thickness is optimized.After the structure is analyzed by FEM, an algorithm of ply orientation angle optimization and ply thickness optimization is presented. The algorithm has two parts: First, the ply orientation angles are considered as the variables and the strain energy as the object function. Second, the ply thicknesses are considered as the variables and the weight of the structure as the object function. The first part improves the rigid of the structure and second part decreases the weight.A composite wing-cabin structure is analyzed and optimized in this paper. The result shows that the rigid and the weight of the structure are improved obviously. So this method has great potential and value in field of practical engineering. |
