The article discussed how to use Fuzzy Neural Networks on machine design, and brought forward two solutions to the problem of small sample.Author firstly introduced the Mathematic base, Algorithm Model and Networks structure of Neural Networks and Fuzzy Neural Networks. On the basis of this, the idea to apply Fuzzy Neural Networks to Machine Design was illuminated.This paper researched how to analyze thermal problems in gear system with Fuzzy Neural Networks. Taking the samples with one varying parameter as training samples, the author trained the Fuzzy Neural Networks first, and then predicted trend of heat generation when more than one parameters are changing.Besides, author brought forth two solutions to problem of small sample. One was decreasing parameters by Expert Research Method, and the other was constructing samples by Orthogonal Experimental Method. After that, both of the two ideas were applied on the selection of belt.At the end, the dissertation summarized the achievements and some problems in the research work, and provided some suggestions to the future study.
