The Research of Suzhou Urban MV/LV Distribution Power Network Evaluation (shortened as "Research" in the following part) is one of the urban power network reform projects sponsored by Jiangsu Electric Power Corporation, with the aim to identify scientifically the power supply capability of MV/LV distribution power network after its renovation. The project is based on documents such as Guidelines to Planning and Designing of Urban Power Network, Guidelines to Renovation Technology for Urban Distribution Power Network and Regulations for Urban Construction and Renovation Evaluation.This project makes some researches with emphasis on the MV/LV distribution power supply situation under the present load condition. Some results such as the calculation of line load rate, theoretical line consumption rate and electric voltage decrease are acquired by the mathematical analysis, and thus the power supply capability is evaluated comprehensively. The same has been done to the LV power network. The research project analyzes allowance of the power supply capability of the MV/LV distribution power network. Further: on the premise of guaranteeing the power network to operate safely, calculations of load increase are finished and so on.From the above analyses, the conclusions can be made as followed: under the present load condition, Suzhou urban MV/LV distribution power network should have the sustainability; when the load increases by 20% or 40%, a few MV/LV lines will be unable to meet the load demand.Obviously, the evaluation points out the power supply capability of the existing MV/LV distribution power network and possible problems. With the quantified results, it regulates the basic data and improves the long-term layout level.The project is brand-new in the whole provincial electric power system. By simple and practical mathematical methods, the evaluation quantifies the respective guideline of evaluative. Moreover, it provides the mathematical model for line consumption estimation and distribution capability choice, and further supplies practical estimation method for the development of urban MV/LV distribution power network...
