The research in this paper has been supported by the Supercavitating Hydro-mechanics Theory on the Super-velocity underwater weapon research program administered by the office of nation defense key lab fund (contract 99JS21. 1. HK0302), and it is the important part of the program. The main work in this paper includes four parts: the theory research on supercavitat ing axisymmetric bodies, the numerical computations of the pressure and the velocity of the supercavity surface, experimental investigations and computer simulation of supercavitation on axisymmetric bodies.After the study of model of the supercavitation for axisymmetricbody, a formula is established to calculate the simulated supercavity shape. Through the analysis of current computer simulation technology and the study of software engerneering, the practical significance is put forward and a general stepis given for the development of the software of supercavitat ing simulation.The panel method employs sources to solve the problem of supercavitation for axisymmetricbody. The sources are distributed on the bodies and cavity surfaces, a computer program is written to display curves of the pressure coefficient value and velocity value of the supercavity surface.By using the simulation language Open GL and programming environment VC++6. 0, the Torpedo Supercavitation Simulation programis developed. With the program, we can study the supercaviting byvaring the value of the shape of the cavitato, the pressure and the mainstream velocity.The exper i ment is finished in the tunnel of marine engineering college of the NWPU. The computer simulation is verified by the experimental results. |
