In this paper , based on the theory of radial-thrust floating ring hybrid bearing , the dynamic characteristic test for this kind of hybrid bearing is accomplished on the self-made test stand , the dynamic characteristics of the testing bearing are got, and the dynamic characteristic coefficients of the thrust part of the bearing are measured for the first time , the result of the test is compared with the theoretical calculation. At the same time , the temperature fields of the radial-thrust floating ring hybrid bearing which includes the lubricant inertia item is discussed , the associated equations and the boundary conditions of temperature are given.Firstly , the testing bearing is designed and manufactured according to the theoretical pressure distribution of the inner and outer oil films as well as theoretical static and dynamic characteristic coefficients . In the test, static-dynamic method is used to measure the stiffness , the eight stiffness coefficients of the radial part and the two stiffness coefficients of the thrust part can be obtained though loading slowly to the testing bearing which is in a equilibrium position . Exciting method is used to measure the damping , the four damping coefficients of the radial part and a damping coefficient of the thrust part can be obtained though hammering the testing bearing which is in a equilibrium position . Based on the testing data , the dynamic characteristic curves of the radial-thrust floating ring hybrid bearing are drawn and compared with the theoretical curves . Furthermore , the temperature fields of the radial-thrust floating ring hybrid bearing which includes the lubricant inertia item is studied for the first time , the Reynolds and energy equations are derived, the relationship between viscosity and temperature as well as the boundary condition of pressure and temperature are developed.All above ,the test and the theoretical research formed the basis of practical application for the radical-thrust floating ring hybrid bearing .This paper is a part of the research project named the static and dynamic characteristic research of the radial-thrust floating ring hybrid bearing which is supported by the Natural Science and Technology Research Foundation of the Nation.The data and the charts in the paper can be referenced for designers . |
