Along with the entering WTO of China and the development of world economy, Chinese traditional manufacturing enterprises, especially small and middle scaled enterprises, face with more drastic market competition. How to promote abilities of competition, rapid reaction, and market adapbility in order to keep its predominance during protean market competition has became the key factor of the development of many manufacturing enterprises. In practice, the most efficient way is to introduce advanced technology into these enterprises, to make them informatization, to provide products, which can meet the personal demands of customers, in shortest time and with the best rate between performance and price. The dissertation puts forward a way and procedure in informatization of small and middle scaled enterprises based on the research and development ( R&D ) of Xi'an HaoTe manufacturing system. At first, the dissertation states the background and meaning of R&D of HaoTe LTD, reviews the researching and implicating actuality of MRP system in and out of China. Connecting with the real circs of development of manufacturing system of HaoTe LTD, the dissertation puts forward the primary ideas and methods of research, sets up the theory frame of raising problems, analysising problems and resolving problems. Secondly, the dissertation analyzes the principle, components and computing logic of Xi'an HaoTe manufacturing system and MRP from compare, and supposes the system can be developed on MRP. At the same time, it analyzes the methods of developing management information system, which is the base of theory of dissertation and system.At last, in the sequences of collectivity plan, demands analysis, design and realization, the development procedures of all the system have been researched in detail. Some typical modules are chosen as the samples. On the bases of discussing three key problems in the development of the system, the solution of the system is determined.
