Traveling wave revolving ultrasonic motor is the direct driver motor that transforms the electric energy to mechanic energy applying the converse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric and friction driver.In this paper, a brief review of the progress regarding research on the traveling wave ultrasonic motor and its applications in various fields are presented. Based on the research of the characteristics of piezoelectric ceramic,this paper presents the analysis of the movement of the stator surface points and work principle of motor.This paper describes a theory about the influence of the ultrasonic vibration on the frictional properties of ultrosonic dring,and finds that the horizontal vibration produces friction driving force and vertical vibration affects horizontal driving effect. The reasons are revealed that the vertical ultrasonic vibration results in decrease of soliding friction coefficient in ultrasonic driving.Although the research has been made for several years, it is different from conventional electromagnetic motors.The most important part of ultrasonic motor is stator,and the key to work of motor is that resonance frequency. This paper begins with the calculation of the stator's resonance frequency, deals with the design and manufacture of motor, and puts forward dual nut structure of traveling wave revolving ultrasonic motor, and presents the analysis of the contract between rotor and stator in the manufacturing process, relation between the amplitude of voltage-ceremic chip and drive sources. The conclusion is that amplitude is affected by deviation of resonance frequency.This paper improves the control module and drive module of the system, makes the outputing frequency of driving power match the resonance frequency of the propotype machine,which satisfies the demand of driving and control.
