| The development of intelligent transport system (ITS) and intelligent vehicle (IV) is one effective measure to solve transport safety problem of our country. In this paper, the present situation of IV applying on automatic collision avoidance is summarized, and "vehicle forward-looking collision warning/avoidance system" that is suitable to transport and present national conditions of China is designed, combined with road, driving practice and technology condition of now used sensors in our country. First, according to different car-following situation, warning distance model and braking distance model are discussed detailed. Then according to base function to be achieved, system plan is made, and based on this, design of applying circuit of needed power unit, information collection unit, warning unit and other units is finished. System control program is designed by MCS-51 language. Finally the results of simulated test are given. |
