Numerous calculating programs can be used in the structure design process of tall buildings, but because those programs adopt different mechanical model units of shear wall, the results derived from them are very different even versus the same structure, it's difficult for designers to choose a suitable design program in practice or make proper choice on different results which calculated by different programs. This problem becomes more remarkable as the appearance of a new criterion which ask to use more than two programs in irregular structure designs. Designers usually choose the highest internal force value to configure reinforcing steel bar when they run into such situation, but that's uneconomical very much. For finding a rational way to resolve this problem, aiming at several wide-used programs, many researches are done in the thesis, and the different results of each mechanical model of shear wall are compared. A certain number of advice on how to judge and modify those results effectually in practical application are put forward, after a complete analysis of different programs. Some other questions are also discussed in this thesis, including how the differences among shear wall models cause deviations of rigidity and translocation values, whether deviations of internal force values will become larger when the programs which base on laminar post mechanic models are used to calculate the structure of less layer buildings and whether internal force values of shear wall will not be true to original when the shear wall unit is meshed into very small sections, etc. the purpose of this thesis is to help designers to apply programs correctly and improve our design level.
