Based on the previous research on the portal crane administration, one standpoint put forward in this paper is idea that is on the foundation of reliability in this paper, two viewpoints take shape when reason is analyzed, that is fatigue break and appearing the flaw that will extend. What is the fatigue break? (this phenomenon is always happen in some place),the fatigue is that board appears apophysis and concave when the board is pressed .so that the board ability of bearing the weight of load will descend. Second , the board appear the flaw that the flaw extends in the some place of board one reason is that the machine works too long, so the board ability of bearing the weight of load will decline. According to the theory of fracture mechnics and damnification mechnics, the author put forward a entire way of calculate and administration to control the portal crane flaw sprouted and extended. According to the paper, the reason of influencing the flaw progress has three factors, that is ,the magnitude of stress, material and the mode of flaw. In generally, there is specially mode of flaw in the specially place, this phenomenon is caused by the structure of the crane and the running mode of the crane. The characteristic of the material and the length of the limiting flaw aflcct the bearing ability of the crane. And the magnitude of stress affects the extending velocity.The first chapter reviews the background of the research. In this chapter the loss-in-stability break is briefly analyzed, and it presents the previous way of inspecting the flaw, and indicates the weakness of the method. And introduces the method of reliability into the inspection of flaw, in order to reveal the phenomenon of flaw extend.The second chapter analysis the way how to decide the length of the limiting flaw. According to the theory of fracture mechnics and damnification mechnics, and the author lakes two way for calculating the length of the limited flaw, in finally, two calculation result is identical, so we can draw a conclusion that the method that we used in the past is in consistent with reality.The third chapter analysis the affections which is the most importance affection in the process of flaw extending ignoring the reliability. The result illuminates that the magnitude of the stress is the most importance affection in the process of flaw extending when the material is determined. However , the magnitude of stress should exceed a correspond value, if the stress has the ability to improve the flaw extending.The forth chapter analysis the stress on the basis of reliability, the result illuminates that the stress obeys the normal disturbing and uniformity disturbing , however quantity of the stress that can affect the flaw extending is not same with the work cycle. So if we want to get the number of the stress that affects the extending life, we should use carefully the statistic tool.The fifth chapter gets the disturbing characteristic of the flaw by analysis the material characteristic. It analysis and calculates disturbing characteristic of the length of the limiting flaw with the special mathematics mode, and it notarizes the flaw life with the COD way on the basis of analysision of magnitude of the stress. In finally, it gains the disturbing characteristic of the flaw life with the monte-carlo mode in this paper. The reliability's construe result for the magnitude of stress, and the flaw length and the life of flaw extend will be helpful to the modernization administration for the portal crane.
