| In recent years, with the appearance of new material and new products, the globalization of market, and the intensification of market competition, the manufacturing lies in a complicated social environment. And all these above factors are simultaneously contributing to the changes of market demands and the complexity of manufacturing process. The Reconfigurable manufacturing technology is just a new manufacturing philosophy proposed under this social background. By the recombination of manufacturing system, the manufacturer can enlarge the variety of part types and adjust production capacity in response to the changing market demands. The current flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) usually are short of re-configurability, and their flexibility is also limited. The research of reconfigurable FMSs is to rearrange and recombine the systems themselves under the changeful environment. As a result, it is very imperative to make reconfiguration for FMSs.At first, this paper presents the basic concepts and theories of FMS. Then, it discusses the concept of reconfiguration in FMSs, the distributed & hierarchical control architecture applied to reconfigurable FMSs, and the key technologies such as object-oriented technology, component technology, and socket technology in detail. With all the above technologies, this paper also describes the master frame and implement method in the control software of reconfigurable FMS under the environment of Windows.At last, this paper summarizes the research achievements and raises a new hypothesis for the deep research of reconfigurable control technologies. |
