The paper reviewed and summarized the inspection methods for reinforced concrete structures after fire according to the literature records concerning the fire at home and abroad along with a lot of engineering practices. This basis some new inspection methods and reinforcement-repair were suggested.The main contents of the paper include:(1)he performance change of the material of reinforced concrete in mechanics comprehensively summed up.(2) The inspection methods for reinforced concrete after fire systematically summed up and concluded two kinds, whose advantages and disadvantages are commented upon.(3)Temperature field and residual capacity of reinforced concrete member after fire studied by the numbers, various boundary conditions of heat exchange equation and the solutions of them given an account, the formulae of the residual capacity of the members after fire established, the program of temperature field programmed on the basic of finite difference algorithm, a case given to demonstrate.(4)Some methods of reinforcement introduced, a project of reinforcement given based on the case.(5)The damaged estimating of reinforced concrete structure, the calculation of the residual capacity given, and the design of the reinforcement project suggested.
