Building Space Water Body Language Research

Space is one of the most important elements of architecture. As a certain medium, Water plays an essential role in the architectural space. Integrated with other architectural elements, water will create a poetic and humanistic space. This paper studies the integration of water, as an architectural element, and architectural space on a space perspective. Water will also create a smooth and natural transition between architecture and its surrounding environment, which will satisfy people's desire to stay closer to the nature and achieve a harmonic symbiosis between architecture and nature.This paper focuses on the symbiosis relation between water and architectural space and the effect of water that set off the environment by contrast. The author analyses the characteristics of water body in the first of five chapters. In the second chapter, begin with the study of water in the space of traditional architecture, the author describes the law of integration of water and space. The use of water in modern architectural space is analyzed in the third chapter. The author studies the way of constitution and its effect of expression. The forth chapter analyses the extended meaning of water in architectural space, discovers the new meaning of water in aspects like abstract and ecological uses.One of the significant trends in the modern architecture development is to embed nature in design. Water has been given compound ecological and cultural implications ever since. The study of the integration and symbiosis between water and architectural space provides a creative solution for the fusion of architecture and nature and for the improvement of the quality of architectural space.
