The whole ship industry is paying attention to the research of Line-heating forming because the technique has been being the bottleneck of the whole shipbuilding system in recent years. As a result of this, many attempts have been trying to analyze the LH process theoretically and experimentally and making it an automatic process is the goal of the research. The paper is developed under this background. Furthermore, it is also one part of the 863 National Project "Robot Research in Line Heat Forming of Large Complex Curved Plate " .In this paper, regression analysis of parameters and numerical simulation of the LH process with the consideration of remains stress are presented.1.Regression analysis of parameters. With the help of a series of LH experiments which covering different thickness from 12 mm to 24 mm, regression analysis are applied to create a series of regression formula only about the relationship between velocity and contract value while other process parameters such as thickness, radius, length of heating line are kept unchanged. Furthermore, parameters-forecast system is designed on the base of above.2.The simplified numerical simulation of the rolling process from a flat plate into a single curvature plate. Based on simplified model and boundary conditions, a transient analysis is developed with a general finite element program ANSYS and the residual stress after the whole rolling process is also obtained.3.The numerical solution of the temperature field in the LH process. The temperature distribution in the plate during the LH procedure is analyzed, and the numerical analysis of the transient temperature distribution of a three dimension under the condition that the thermo-material property and the heat exchanging condition on the boundary vary with temperature is completed.4.The numerical solution of the thermo-elastic-plastic process from a single curvature plate into three-dimension curved plate with the consideration of residual stress. ANSYS is also employed to simulate above process. The mechanical behavior is also analyzed by calculation results.5.A contrast analysis about the influence on the last forming of different curvature radius at each same heating condition is developed at last.
