A lot of project inspection and acceptance have been completed recently by the Dalian Development Area Construction Quality Supervision Station. Four problems are found to have influence on the quality of reinforced concrete structure seriously. The problem one is that the cover of reinforcement in the negative bent area is so thick that the effective height of cross section of floor is decreased. This will has influence on the bearing capacity of construction. The problem two is the stirrup in the core of beam-column joint was insufficient because of designing or construction. So the shear capacity and ductility of beam-column joint will decrease. The problem three is the connection methods and the connection quality of reinforcement. The problem four is about the concrete quality.Based on a lot of inspection and experimental results, the construction quality caused by the four problems can be controlled by the following methods."Portable foot frame" is suggested to use during construction. The constructional measure arranging double-layer continuous bent bars in floor is also proposed. By these measures, the problem one can be solved to some extend. In order to solve the problem two, the method of "step by step arranging stirrup" is suggested. Meanwhile, the X-shaped stirrup is also proposed to apply in the core of beam-column joint in order to improve its shear capacity and ductility. In this paper, the cause of the looseness of straight thread mechanical connection is analyzed and some improvements are proposed. The status of concrete quality during construction and control methods are introduced. Some advices are given to enhance the construction quality.
