A novel pulse planar transformer of low-profile that is suitable for high voltage application is presented. Unlike the conventional design, the new design offers more flexibility, it can automatically series-connect each layer of the winding and reduce the DC resistance, increase the consistency. Some of the parasites can be drastically reduced due to their planar geometry and the proximity of the windings. The advantages of the interleaving technique are presented. This planar transformer winding AC resistance and leakage inductance are investigated for the different winding arrangements. This paper examines the winding losses associated with skin and proximity effects for this kind of planar transformer.Given a set of specifications, such as input and output voltage, leakageinductance, DC resistance, etc. Experimental results show that such construction transformer is particularly useful for the design of low-profile and high-voltage converter modules. Simulation with Saber software is employed whose results are very approach to the experiment results.No other researches about low-profile planar pulse transformer for high-voltage in domestic according to our known. The study on the design and execution of the planar pulse transformer for high-voltage provide a feasible approach and technical experience.
