ZhengZhou university has fetch an Ion Electrostatic Accelerator from USA. The main equipment of the Ion Electrostatic Accelerator is in good condition. If it is used again it will be the important implement of science research about atomic nucleus physics , biology aberrance and material denaturalization. But its control system belong to traditionary relay control system. The big control system take more place, speed slowly and has single function, little flexible, can not fit every experiment. And the control system is very old, it is difficult to maintain in the future. The old control system use synchronization electromotor and self-adjust transformer to adjust and control the parameters of Ion source, gas leak, focus power etc. The parameters lay on 4Mv high voltage terminal, the voltage environment lead the traditionary way of signals collection to failure. In addition the system can not collect and record and query history data automatically.Thinking about the cases of above, the use of modern PLC, FCS and computer network technology take the place of the traditional control system. Because of the complicated environment of interference about electromagnetism and distributed multilayer of high voltage, it is very difficult to change the old system. But we change the technology scheme some times, in the end we have the mature and feasible technology scheme. It is made of computer network, PLC, and new field bus-PROFIBUS, the new control system has been debugged successfully, It( has collect the signals from the 4Mv high voltage terminal through the way of infrared and optical fibres , It ends the history that the 4Mv high voltage terminal is a black box. The WINCC program record and pigeonhole the history parameters automatically, the new system can meet the need of general expriment. there is a lack of analysis apparatus of magnet, the new system is only a opened loop control system,if we add the analysis part of the Ion eletrostatic accelerator someday, all that we need to do is adding analog module hi PLC and sampling control arithmetic hi the computer program. We will get a perfect closed loop control system.We will develop the detail of the new control system to fit the new need of the actual expriment.
