Study on Cement-sodium silicate-stabilized SoilAbstractSoft soils, which wore collected from the coast areas in Fujian province, were grouted with cement and sodium silicate. By means of the scanning electron microscope(SEM), the author analyzed the mechanisms of cement and sodium silicate strengthening on soft soil. The unconfined compressive strength, shearing strength and permeabi lity of stabilized soils were tested in laboratory, the strength of contaminated composite soils sampled with different pH and soaped in corresponding pH were compared. The results from experiments indicate that there exists a certain relationship between the soft soil properties and the unconfined compressive of grouted soil. With the increase of water content, porosity ratio, degree of porosity, plasticity limit, liquid limit and liquid index, the compressive strength of cement-sodium silicate-stabilized soil decreases, while increases as the bulk weight and compressibility modulus. The fatigue behavior of cement-sodium silicate-consolidated soil was investigated under cyclic loading. Effect on the characteristics of fatigue life of composite soils and dynamic modulus were discussed. The deformation behavior of stabilized soil on static and dynamic loading were compared. The characteristics of frequency spectrum of composite soils were analyzed in the thesis.
