Object-Oriented technique is a new software development method, by using the concept of object, class, encapsulation, inheritance and so on to construct system. Built by OOP, software can be of powerful adaptability, good reusability and easy maintenance. Visualization is the trend of modern application software. Visualization makes the software easier to use and learn, hence, improving the work efficiency. Power flow computing is a basic power system analysis. By the use of the two methods, this paper presents the OOP models of power system component and power flow computing under the C±+ developing environment. Based on the models, a power flow computing software which has a GUI (graphical user interface) has been built. And the way to extend its functions is discussed.
