In this paper, a study on the static performance of the three towers cablestayed bridge is carried out based on the model experiment for Yue Yang Dong Ting Lake bridge. After the comparison among several schemes of three towers cable-stayed bridge, it selected the rational structure sizes of the bridge component parts and the optimal bridge type project. Using the minimum bending energy method, this paper gives the assumed load method to adjust bending moment and the forward-iteration to define the rational completed bridge state and constructing state, meanwhile, it inquires the influences to the influences to the whole bridge force characteristics caused by the parameters such as rigidity of tower, stitThess of girder and the size of cable. It also analyses the function of auxiliary piers and the deformation, inner force and stress of the Dong Ting Lake bridge. The 1/30 scale model is designed and made based on the stiffness conformity principle and the model experiment is done. All these help to test and terrify the conformity reaction and the model design and calculating theory, giving experimental basis for design and construction of the actual Dong Ting Lake bridge.
