The massive energy out of inertial-confinement fusion (ICF) targets is thought as the most potential energy. The neutron is the main output of ICF. In order to analyze the process of hydrokinetics, an neutron imaging that can give high spatial and temporal resolution is needed. So the penumbral (circle-coded aperture) ima9ing microscope (PIM) which is mainly discussed in this paper is developing very quickly . In this method,a new type of thick aperture with a toroidal taper was made to block neutrons(I4MeV).A two-dimensional scintillator array was used as a sensitive neutron detector. In this paper, We will discuss the imaging principle, structure, and image-processing software of this neutron microscope.Specially the genetic algorithm is introduced into the decoding progress instead of linear decode method ,and made a satisfactory results.
