Drainage system of high-grade highway plays an important role in ensuring the lifetime of structure, avoiding traffic jam and securing vehicles. In bess mountain area, the problem of drainage becomes a nodus because of the special nature of bess and terrain .The nodus must be solved immedialtely. Through analysis and experiment, this pape has studied the calculation method and the mechanism of slope rainfall erosion in roadway, raised principles and technology about drainage design in bess mountain area. It has an important directive function on the drainage design. The new achievement was employed in Chapter 2 to analyze the rain erosion of chasm.Meanwhile, combining with highway project, this paper selected some good mathematical model of rainfall erosion, and raised a method of highway drainage design.Chapter 3 studied the main factors on the highway dike erosion through the artificial imitated rainfall test, described the rainfall erosion process and analyzed the mechanism in flood state. The conclussion has a reality to dike design and its drainage design. In view that our country has not deeply studied pavement surface drainage, this paper has researched the pavement surface drainage. It has studied the pavement watershed and waterpower calculation, while employing model test to study the drainage problem. The initial achievement not only fits in bess area, also can be utilized in other area.Chaper 5 suggested suitable technique of preventiment and drainage, such as water-repellent and prevent infiltration of structure ,entrance and exit technique, etc. .Thus the theory is combined with practice.Studied each part of drainage system, the paper discussed the principles of drainage design and relationship between every branch of drainage system. So,it becomes into an organism.
