Through survey of natural condition of abrupt slope of deep scour ditch in loessial territory (mid part of Gansu Province), on the basis of systematically study and analysis of the development and the using conditions of the technique of spray concrete with anchor pin in China and abroad, using the method of scientific experiment coupled with engineering experience, this paper makes a study on the bridge head protective engineering of deep scour ditch in loessial territory. Studies and pratices prove that using this new technique to strengthen the bridge head slope of deep scour ditch in loessial region can reasonably takes the advantages of the feature of own strength and stability of bess, and this new method is safer and more economical than other ways. Carrying out this accomplishment can not only achieve the design of spray concrete with pin on such conditions as nature slope or artificial slope of Ioessial region but also has a certain merit of expanding the usage of this new technique in losseial territory.
