Research On The Optimization Strategy Of The Historic District Image's Continuity

Historic district image contains intangible cultural connotation and material landscape. They determine the formation and development of the regional historic district. With rapid economic development and expansion of urbanization, many historic districts have been severely damaged, leading to vertical faults or horizontal similar and other issues. The main reason dues to the lack of research on the overall development, designing elements, and the development goal of the historic district in the transformation process. They led to the development of its image disorder.This study aims to the optimization approach of historic district image's continuation by ways of the controlling the elements. This thesis presents the purpose and significance for the fault and the convergence of the current historic district image. The author proposed elements of the classification, and the relationship between the core elements by summing up domestic and foreign research and practice, and the concept of the historic district image. The thesis obtains the basic ideas of the elements reconstruction and integrates by this way. This historic district image will be divided into the recessive factors , the dominant factors and behavior factors, recessive element is the basis for the formation of historic districts and cultural image of the embodiment of meaning; Dominant factor is the basic of the historic district image's conformation and the specific expression of the cultural connotation , the dominant factors is the most intuitive elements of historic district , it is the easiest to give a deep impression to people; Behavior element is the elements of human activities in a historic district, an important signs of the rise and fall of historic district. It is a way to achieve the continuation of the historical development of the block image, through materialize, gene extraction and implantation, and activation of behavior factors.Finally, the optimization strategy will be applied to Shantang Historic District of Suzhou. The author proposes an effective way of the image's continuation by the analyzing of the overall image characteristics, and identified the structure of the core elements and problems according to optimization strategies...
