The overall efficiency of dam and embankments flood control,irrigation,power generation,watersupply,shipping,tourism and improve ecological are tremendous.Dam and embankments are an importantfoundation for China'S social and economic infrastructure and an important part for national security offlood control engineering system.These projects of the safety and efficiency,to a large extent dependent onthe hydraulic percolation theory and its application results.At present,various types of reservoirs havebeen built more than 10,000,most of which are earth—rock dams.Earth-rock dam as retaining structure,seepage problem of which is particularly prominent.This article describes the earth-rock dam seepage research body,research and analysis using finiteelement method to calculate earth—rock dam seepage field based on summarizing the results of previousstudies,and described the principle and steps of calculating the stability of seepage field by the finiteelement method;demonstrates the use of large general—purpose software ANSYS thermal analysis moduleto solve the feasibility problem of seepage field from three parts of the theory,differential equations,boundary conditions;discusses the specific practices using of life and death element method,volume'weighted method to treat the free surface seepage;determine the method of escape points andsolving seepage and infiltration than the drop method;uses APDL language of ANSYS to compile theentire calculation process order flow,and use UIDL language of the interface to form a seepage analysismodule.In this paper,the actual Xiabandi earth—rock dam as the research object,had a seepage field numericalanalysis by using finite element software ANSYS thermal analysis module to obtain the head pressure ofcalculation cross'section flow,seepage,infiltration gradient,and compared calculated results with designinformation(UNSST2 software results),the results are more similar.It proves that:the use of the analysisfunctions of the temperature field of ANSYS to calculate earth.rock dam seepage iS feasible and effective:dam using 85M asphalt concrete cutoff wall lap 150m of the vertical anti—seepage curtain grouting programiS feasible.The calculations plays a guiding role for the dam'S construction....
