Many bridges in-service may be subjected to corrosion in addition to fatigue loading, the service life of reinforced concrete bridges will be greatly reduced by the impact of the coupling of corrosion and fatigue loading, so more and more attentions were taken for the degeneration of the structural behavior. Based on the previous researches home and abroad, a numerical simulation method about the performance degradation for the reinforced concrete bridges of corrosion and the coupling of corrosion and fatigue was proposed. The problem about the deterioration of the reinforced concrete bridges under the corrosion and corrosion fatigue were resolved by the method referred in this article. Main work has been done as follows:1. The main factors affecting the durability of degradation and the models both of the corrosion and the coupling of the corrosion and fatigue loading were systematically analyzed. A numerical simulation method including the rust of the degradation for reinforced concrete bridges and the flow chart were made.2. A rectangular cross-section beam was used for an example to analyze the corrosion degradation using the method above. The result indicated that the method can effectively simulate durability degradation of the reinforced concrete bridges.3. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional models were used to simulate the durability of a project. The result indicated that two-dimensional finite element model can be used for the later of bar corrosion (bar section loss is more than 10%) of the numerical simulation, the three-dimensional finite element model simulation of bar corrosion was more suitable for the early degradation (bar section loss rate of less than 10%) of the durability.4. Based on the numerical simulation of the corrosion performance of reinforced concrete bridges, a numerical simulation method for performance degradation of reinforced concrete was made to simulate the coupling of corrosion and fatigue. The method was used to simulate a T-type reinforced concrete beam under the coupling of corrosion and fatigue. The result indicated that the method was validity.
