Reinforced concrete structure has been used most extensively in our country. Lots of reinforced concrete bridge structures have made great contribution to our economic constructions as infrastructures. However, with rapid development of our social economy, the bridge loads increase sharply and the fatigue problems of bridge become more and more severe.The random variable model of vehicle loads and resistance deterioration model of concrete bridge are needed when establishing the fatigue failure limit state equations of reinforced concrete beam. Based on the results of field vehicle load investigations and project team research, the vehicle load spectrum model was presented. The main work include:(1) Investigations of vehicle loadBased on the investigation data collected by a toll station in Guizhou province such as vehicle weight, vehicle type etc., the statistical analysis were conducted and the results of statistical paremeter analysis of each vehicle type were obtained.(2) Establishment of load spectrum modelDrawing on the research results of other project team members, the load spectrum model basede on measured data was established using random process theory and monte carlo method on the basis of data analysis and literature survey.(3) Dynamic analysisThe FORTRAN language program was developed to conduct dynamic analysis of vehicle crossing the bridge.(4) Fatigue life analysis of bridgeThe design data and above scientific research results were adoped to calculate the fatigue life of bridge.
