This thesis describes that the electric vehicle market is now fast developing, and focus on the electric vehicle battery technology in recent years of development as well as some of the problems encountered. In this technology, the introduction of electric cars power management concept, explained its importance. The electric car battery management system focuses from the three areas. They are electric vehicle battery charge and discharge management, security management and life management. And try to analyze the importance of the battery power management and its necessity. And we introduce the theory and some battery power management solutions.Among them, the charge and discharge management is the core of power management, and fundamental. In this thesis, there is a common laboratory management charge and discharge circuit to demonstrate the basic charge and discharge management module.Electric car safety is the most important condition, and the battery's safety involves many factors. And in this thesis, one of the important factors are described battery safety and power management from the perspective of some of the methods of security management, and theory.Battery life related to the cost of electric vehicles, and electric vehicles can be spread mostly due to the cost of the battery. This thesis describes various aspects related with the battery life, and a detailed description of the power management extends battery life of the program, and industry practices. The EV and HEV cars will be popular in the near future. More and more source and investment was involved in this field. New and effective battery power management is needed with some new requirements and expectations.
