The research on renewable energy and their applications has become more and more important due to the global energy crisis and environmental pollution. As one of the abundant clear energy, wind power is the perfect alternative energy. So the research on wind power generation system and its application is vital. In the system, the VSC is one of the pivotal parts, because it determines the stability and loading ability of the whole system.The conventional rectifier section widely consists of diode-rectifier circuit and phase-control rectifier, which injects large amounts of harmonics into wind power generator. It shortens the life of generator. As regarding to the control techniques on PWM rectifier, the current control was proposed earliest compared to others. In this paper, it presented the indirect and direct current control. Further more, it proposed the principal algorithm of the control strategy and established the simulation model. The direct current method has quick response speed and good static performance.It can obviously suppress the harmonic disturbance to wind driven generator, improve the movement quality of wind driven generator. So this paper mainly elaborated fixed switching frequency control strategy and gives the detailed chart of program.In this paper, another important content is calculation about the primary circuit of VSC HVDC and parameters of various components, machine side three-phase inductances and the dc circuit capacity. This section content provides the basis about primary circuit components of wind power VSC-HVDC system calculation. This paper introduces the design of the AC voltage measuring circuit, AC current detection circuit, DC voltage detecting circuit and phase locked circuit, and simulation with MULTISIM simulation software for comparison. In the power circuit. IGBT is main power electronics device. The circuit for IGBT is presented as well as the protection method for IGBT in this paper.This paper makes in-depth research about RS485 bus communications. Using SN75LBC184D serial conversion chip design 485 communication circuit. Finally a set of wind power converter system based on the VSC-HVDC technology with DSP2812 as its core chip is designed.
