In this dissertation, a base-band signal processing board's design proposal is introduced, which is suitable for the application environment of maglev trains communication system. The add-in card is designed to transport the data which is de-multiplexed in the TDMA protocol and the diagnostics data of other board to the computer through the PCI bus.A framing proposal, hardware and software co-framing which is used in Maglev train communication system, is discussed in this dissertation. The SRAM memory is divided into some logic channels which can be seen as the physical channel of each TDMA slots respectively. The data of each slot is de-multiplexed by the FPGA and stored in these logic channels. The data of each slot can be read by access the address corresponding to the slot in the computer using software. The key issues, bit synchronization and frame synchronization in the TDMA frame-design, are also analyzed in this dissertation. Finally, we choose the Manchester encoding as TDMA bit synchronization and Barker code as frame synchronization according to the problem. The proposal is measured and verified in the board based on XILINX's SPARTAN3 Series FPGA.Furthermore, the PCI bus protocol is simply analyzed in the dissertation, and the PCI bus implementations are made presentation and comparison in detail. Finally, PLX's PCI9054 chip is selected as PCI bus protocol implemented chip according to system requirements. FPGA is used to decode the PCI9054's local bus in order to transmit the TDMA data and diagnostic data to the computer. Finally, the dissertation describes the design of the PCI driver and the application program interface design, and the board is comprehensive verified.
