Anchoring technology plays an important role in geotechnical engineering. With the accelerated development of construction projects, there are many lacks of traditional anchoring technology, so the research on new anchoring technology has become a focus at home and abroad. As a new-type anchor, the plate-resistant anchor has wide prospect for its great and uniform axial bearing capacity. On the basis of laboratory experiments, numerical simulation and theoretical analysis, this paper studies the failure mode and mechanical characteristics, analyzes the related computational method of the disc bolt. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:First, study its mechanical characteristics by laboratory experiments, including the load-displacement relations, stress-strain relations, and the timeliness of anchor disc resistance and so on. Discuss the failure mode and mechanism of anchors with a single or multi plates. Concludes the impact factors of its bearing capacity, such as the disc diameter, disc spacing, the number of anchor plate, soil compaction, etc;Second, by using the numerical simulation, the failure and bearing mechanism are discussed for anchors with a single or multi plates in different conditions, consisted of the stress distribution law, the load transfer law and the plastic zone variations. By changing the anchor spacing and numbers, the multi anchorage effect has been analyzed;Third, based on the Mindlin solutions of stress and displacement in semi-infinite elastic solid, adopted the superposition principle, its suffered load is transformed into uplift resistance and side friction, so as to solve the displacement at the anchor-soil interface. Then according to the boundary displacement compatibility equation and the static equilibrium conditions, analyze the displacement-load relationships at the interface, which is consistent with the test results through contrast testing; Finally, combined with experimental research, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results, on the basis of Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion, the ultimate capacity formula has been derived according to the limit equilibrium principle, its calculation results is consistent with the test results.
