The issue is the Chinese Academy of Sciences commissioned by the Northern industrial electrician according to the University of electron beam welding equipment High Pressure Process requirements.High voltage power is mainly used for electron acceleration, and the performance of high voltage power directly determines the quality of electron beam welding machine. Domestic high voltage power for electron beam welding machine is still using 400Hz frequency generator, with noise, large voltage ripple, precision and low defects, which can not meet the practical needs of modern industry. To solve the above problem, we developed a all-digital power supply prototype with high frequency high voltage for EBW.The high voltage power supply is composed by the DSP, CPLD, IPM etc.. DSP is the control center, which controls high-voltage accelerating power supply, filament heating power, bias power and focus power switched on and off.All power parameters are setted and stored through the touch screen. It alse has a powerful communication functions, and can realize remote control and network operations. The high-voltage power system protection is very powerful, including high voltage protection, electron beam overcurrent protection, IPM overcurrent protection, thermal protection etc.. When any failure occurs, CPLD blocks all the PWM pulses output, and then fault information will be displayed on the touch screen.Actual welding experiments show that the performance of high power supply has reached the design goal and can meet the precision electron beam welding process and stability requirements.
