| In recent years, galvanized sheet has been widely used in cars, home appliances, light industry and construction industry. Hot galvanizing is the most common and effective method of corrosion prevention for steel. But in recent years, zinc prices doubled up, while hot galvanized zinc coating plate is relatively thick, which raises the cost of hot galvanized plate significantly, while zinc plates is a little thin, corrosion resistance is not well as hot galvanized plate.In this paper Al-Mg alloy coating is deposited on galvanized sheet by magnetron sputtering and its properties are studied. The application of magnetron sputtering technology can improve its corrosion resistance.The best magnetron sputtering process is determined controlling Al-Mg composition by changing the power of target Al and target Mg and optimizing temperature, Ar-air pressure and sputtering time. Al-Mg alloy coating is deposited by dual-target magnetron sputtering on hot galvanized zinc under different conditions. The influence of preparation process on properties of Al-Mg alloy coating is studied.The results show that Al-Mg alloy coating has good gloss and surface smooth with silvery white color prepared by magnetron sputtering. It is revealed that Al-Mg alloy coating is evenly distributed with close attachment and uniform crystal particles by scanning electron microscope the specific components of Al-Mg is measured analyzing EDS spectrum; the main phase of Al-Mg alloy coating is Al12Mg17 with orientation of (411) using X-ray diffraction. The best magnetron sputtering process is PMg=8.5W, PAl=565W, the main components of Al-Mg alloy coating is Mg 4.12wt%, Al 95.88wt% and Ts=200℃, It is found that the Al-Mg alloy thin film has good corrosion resistance with 96 hours of almost no rust under the best process through electrochemical tests and salt spray test. |
